Many folks have been asking for pictures of the refurbished basement, but I’ve been waiting until it was finished (can it ever be truly finished, he said?). Anyway – last night it was finished enough for the Needlework Gang to get a guided tour, so –
How it was at the beginning.
The 1903 rotted windows.
The ceiling as it was.
A new wall takes shape
New windows.
New ceiling.
Hardwood floor starts to go down.
The entrance to the tomb gets a makeover.
An antique mantlepiece and not so antique fire.

Yayy! You did a fine job, for a good reason. You might want to watch HGTV’s Income Property, where Scott McIvery fixes up houses to make apartments. Cuz likes to tell him how to do better. I just like to watch Scott.

Wow! Looks great and opens up another space for more…mischief?
You’ll love your new space. One of the best things we did in our bookstore was clear up the basement for inventory and browsing. But it doesn’t look as good as yours! Way to go!
